The Florida Catholic is the official online and print newspaper for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami and the Dioceses of Orlando, Palm Beach, Pensacola-Tallahassee, St. Petersburg, and Venice. Its mission is to provide objective, accurate, current information about the church, both worldwide and local, and events that reflect the life and activities of the Diocese that it serves.
Intellavia developed a permission-based content management system allowing the Florida Catholic to make daily content updates via an intuitive online back-end interface using its iVCMS (Content Management System) infrastructure backbone. Additionally, the new architecture streamlined the content to make it easier to navigate, making it more accessible for its users. An iPhone app was created as an RSS feed of top stories for users on the go.
