Reengineered Web Portal Advances Institute of Financial Operations as Leading Provider of Financial Ops Resources, Information

A web portal featuring a dynamic news magazine, robust Resource Center, and advanced search capabilities was launched today by The Institute of Financial Operations professional association, solidifying the organization’s leadership position in the world of financial ops.

The website, at http://www.financialops.org, is completely reengineered and redesigned, and enables members and other users to customize information according to areas of interest that align with The Institute’s four legacy associations: International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP), International Accounts Receivable Professionals (IARP), the National Association of Purchasing & Payables (NAPP), and The Association for Work Process Improvement (TAWPI).

“Whether it’s tax or other legislation or advances in technology, the business world in general – and financial ops in particular – is changing at an unprecedented rate,” said Thomas M. Bohn, president and CEO of The Institute. “This new website is game-changing in the way it enables us to provide our members and stakeholders information specific to their area of focus at the pace they need.”

The site is a one-stop shop for all financial operations professionals.

  • Visitors to the site can search by pre-populated topics of focus or by entering their own keywords.
  • The news portal includes original articles by professional business writers as well as financial ops practitioners and consultants, blogs, news and advertorials from partners and other vendors, and streaming headlines from several of The Institute’s media partners, including CFO, ECM Connection, InsideARM, Payment News, and Spend Matters.
  • The Resource Center features thousands of tools and templates, articles, white papers, and research reports on topics such as automation, data capture, tax and regulatory practices, payment trends, and productivity.

The site was designed and built by Orlando-based web development company Intellavia. “We are excited to deliver this cutting-edge web portal, both because of the magnitude of the project and the importance of the subject matter,” said Marc Piparo, partner and vice president of technology at Intellavia. “Let’s face it, financial operations is a key part of every business, and we are proud to be a business partner of The Institute.”
