IAPP - International Accounts Payble Professionals
Case Study - International Accounts Payable Professionals (IAPP)

Growing The Membership Base

Executive Summary
International Accounts Payable Professionals is a not-for-profit professional organization committed to the advancement of individuals in the accounts payable profession. IAPP provides certification, Accounts Payable Training, best practices, and other resources to support members in a rapidly changing business world.

The Challenge
IAPP’s goal was not simply to update its online presence, but to incorporate and integrate multiple resources, opportunities and industry knowledge into one complete, organized portal. The task of increasing and retaining online traffic to such an industry-specific web site surfaced as an additional challenge.

The Solution
Intellavia teamed with IAPP to construct a web site with the ability to serve its vast audience, while providing both member and public access to valuable industry-specific content, and enhance the availability of online professional training and education. Throughout the duration of the project, extensive testing and refining of the site’s content, design, and functionality proved essential. The partnership between IAPP and Intellavia has grown from a traditional pairing of organizations to a team consistently working towards one ultimate goal.

Results
iappnet.org was successfully launched in 2008 and has since become the leading, most trusted source for all things AP. In a short time, iappnet.org has been able to distinguish IAPP as an invaluable resource to its members. Intellavia’s iVCMS platform has allowed the IAPP to publish thousands of  AP training, certification, best practices, webinars, online magazines, tools, career, and other leading-edge resources to support members in the AP industry. Intellavia implemented Google Analytics to measure user traffic, trends, SEO, and advertising campaign effectiveness. Six months after the launch of the new site network traffic increased by 9,000 unique visitors and it continues to grow today.  The number of members is now over 5,000 and local chapters are at 70-plus. With the IAPP’s success they have been able to spin off an Accounts Receivable division and an AR Matters online magazine, both with websites using Intellavia’s iVCMS.
