Gale Pacific - Coolaroo
Case Study - Gale Pacific International Coolaroo

A site that allows the user to see real-time inventory counts linked directly to the warehouse via web services.

Executive Summary
Gale Pacific markets weather protection products under the brand Coolaroo throughout North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. The Coolaroo brand is constructed with the added protection of a unique knitted fabric. This state of the art material blocks out harmful UV rays, yet still allows cool breezes to pass though.

The Challenge
Gale International aimed to provide its consumers with a dynamic online entity rather than its existing static site which lacked consumer involvement. Gale required secure online ordering and tracking capabilities for a catalog of largely outdoor products.

The Solution
Intellavia met the creative challenges of Gale by providing an aesthetically pleasing solution to consumers worldwide. Revitalizing and remodeling Gale’s web site meant balancing user-friendly navigation with reliable site architecture and performance. We continue to work with Gale to develop and enhance relevant tools and online solutions specific to the marketplace.

Results
Consumers are able to purchase and construct Gale’s retail product line online with ease. Online order tracking and account access help to make Gale’s new online presence valuable to its consumers and dealers. The new site allows the user to see real-time inventory counts linked directly to the warehouses. Coolaroo can also liquidate excess inventory via promotion and sales tools build into the site. Intellavia implemented Google Analytics to measure user traffic, trends, SEO, and advertising campaign effectiveness. Site traffic trends are monitored on a daily basis by intellavia and Coolaroo’s in-house marketing staff. In addition, Intellavia performed user testing to insure that Coolaroo’s goal of developing an easy to use site and creating a positive user experience was accomplished.
